Committee details

The Employment Committee was responsible for those employment function which cannot, as a matter of law, be the responsibility of the Cabinet, namely, functions relating to local government pensions and appeals against dismissal, grading and grievances by employees of the Council until November 2020.

The Committee has now been replaced by a Joint Staff Advisory Committee, with members from both Lewes District Council and Eastbourne Borough Council, and staff group and union representations.
