War Pensions and Armed Forces Compensation Policy

The Housing Benefit regulations set a statutory disregard of £10.00 on War Pensions and Armed Forces compensation schemes when assessing a claimant’s entitlement to housing benefit. A local authority can at its discretion disregard the remaining amount.

 

This report seeks Cabinet’s approval to disregard amounts above £10.00 in the assessment of Housing Benefit.
