Motion to be moved by Councillor Smart and seconded by Councillor Holt: “That in accordance with Section 249(5) of the Local Government Act 1972, Mrs Dorit Oliver-Wolff BEM be admitted as an Honorary Freewoman of the Borough of Eastbourne in recognition and appreciation of her extraordinary life, her outstanding contribution to Eastbourne and its community, her work as a freedom fighter and campaigner for human rights, her dedication to Holocaust education and her passion to ensure that the Holocaust is never forgotten.“ Note: By virtue of Section 249(8) of the Local Government Act, 1972, to be effective this motion must be passed by not less than two-thirds of the Members of the Council who vote on it.
