The Chair introduced members of the Committee via roll call, and those officers present during the remote meeting.

Apologies for absence/Declaration of substitute members

Apologies for absence had been received from Councillors Graham Amy, Nicola Papanicolaou and Steve Saunders.

Declarations of interest

Disclosure by councillors of personal interests in matters on the agenda, the nature of any interest and whether the councillor regards the interest as prejudicial under the terms of the Code of Conduct.

Minutes:

For the purposes of transparency, Councillor Milly Manley declared that in relation to items 8 and 9 (planning applications SDNP/20/00675/FUL and SDNP/20/00676/LIS) she was the Lewes District Ward Councillor.

 

For the purposes of transparency, Councillor Imogen Makepeace declared that in relation to agenda items 8 and 9 (planning applications SDNP/20/00675/FUL and SDNP/20/00676/LIS) she was a member of Lewes Town Council and although she had previously commented on this application at a Town Council meeting, she was now looking at this matter afresh as a District Councillor.

Written representations against the proposal were read aloud by the Committee Officer on behalf of Jane Seabrook (neighbour), Alan Soutar (neighbour) and Rosalyn Hayles (neighbour). Written representations for the proposal were read aloud by the Committee Officer on behalf of Ben Jones (agent) and Andrew Holloway (applicant).

 

Resolved:

 

That planning application SDNP/20/00675/FUL for the construction of 3 no. new dwellings with associated landscaping and parking within the curtilage of a Listed Building and including alterations to the Listed Building and demolition of outbuildings be approved, subject to the conditions set out in the report.
