Election of Chair of the Sub-Committee for this meeting

Minutes:

Councillor Murray proposed and Councillor Vaughan seconded that Councillor Diplock be appointed as Chair for this hearing.

Declarations of interest

Disclosure by councillors of personal interests in matters on the agenda, the

nature of any interest and whether the councillor regards the interest as

prejudicial under the terms of the Code of Conduct.

13.

Exclusion of the public and press

 

To consider, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), excluding the public and press from the meeting during the discussion of Item 4 on this agenda, as there are likely to be a disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act. It is considered that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

 

Minutes:

RESOLVED:  that, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), the public and press be excluded from the hearing as there was likely to be disclosures of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act. The public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

 

14.

Determination of 'fit & proper' status of a driver in relation to his Dual Drivers Licence

Minutes:

RESOLVED:  to issue a written warning to remain on record for a period of four years from the date of the warning and the driver to undertake Safeguarding Training within three months of the date of the decision and provide proof of attendance to the Licensing Team. 

 

Should there be any further complaints, of any nature, concerning the driver, in the same four-year period then that complaint would be referred to the Licensing Sub Committee.
