There are increasing pressures on the Council to provide temporary accommodation options for people presenting with a housing need.  This trend could be further exacerbated by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2016 which is due to be implemented in April 2018.  This report will seek Cabinet approval to entering a lease arrangement on 1 property and the acquisition of another.  Both properties will be utilised specifically for the provision of temporary accommodation to meet our statutory homeless responsibilities.
