The Committee Officer asked members of the Committee and others present to introduce themselves, including officers, the driver, and driver’s solicitor.

Councillor Parker proposed and Councillor Belsey seconded that Councillor Morris be appointed as Chair for this meeting.

There were none.

Disclosure by councillors of personal interests in matters on the agenda, the

nature of any interest and whether the councillor regards the interest as

prejudicial under the terms of the Code of Conduct.

There were none.

To consider, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), excluding the public and press from the meeting during the discussion of Item 5 on this agenda, as there are likely to be a disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 & 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act. It is considered that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.

RESOLVED:  that, under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), the public and press be excluded from the hearing as there was likely to be disclosures of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act. The public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
