Wave Leisure Trust Funding and Management Agreement

To seek delegated authority to the Deputy Chief Executive/Director of Regeneration and Planning to:

 

1) undertake all necessary actions to complete a 10-year extension and variation of the existing Funding and Management Agreement with Wave Leisure Trust to commence from 1 April 2021.

 

2) agree the rent arrangements to be put in place at Seahaven Swim and Fitness and Downs Leisure Centre following previous Cabinet delegated authority to complete leases at these sites.

Consultation process

On 19 March 2018 Cabinet were consulted about entering into new leases at Seahaven Swim and Fitness and Downs Leisure Centre. This Leaders decision report allows those leases to be put into place as well as the extension and variation of the of the existing contract arrangements with WLT.

 

Cllr Zoe Nicholson and Cllr Ruth O’Keeffe have been consulted as part of this process and confirmed that they are happy for this Leader’s decision to be made.
