The East Sussex Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (HOSC) comprises elected councillors and voluntary sector representatives that scrutinise healthcare services in East Sussex.
This includes scrutinising the work of NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), NHS Trusts, the voluntary sector, and independent providers of healthcare – and acting as a ‘critical friend’ towards these organisations, by suggesting ways that health-related services might be improved.
HOSC also looks at the way the health service interacts with our social care services, the voluntary sector, independent providers and other council services to jointly provide better health services to meet the diverse needs of East Sussex residents and improve their wellbeing.
