Action in rural Sussex is a registered charity that aims to improve and enhance the quality of life for those who live and work in the rural areas of Sussex. It encourages self-help community projects and advocates to the relevant authorities on issues that matter to people living across rural Sussex.

Its three key aims are:

·       To reduce the incidence and impact of disadvantage and poverty on people living in rural areas.

·       To increase the capacity of rural communities to manage change for the benefit of all their members.

·       To inform and amplify the voice of rural communities to influence public policy.
